SXSW attendees get 10% off cupcakes at Delish in Austin

I stopped by Delish yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to get 10% off my order! Love that. Cupcakes are $2.75 each or $33 for a dozen, and it's an easy walk from downtown. All the cupcakes I tried were very rich, the kind that can easily be shared, although when I did, plenty of my friends ate an entire cupcake, easily. I especially recommend the vanilla and cookies and cream cupcakes.

The best thing about this cupcake I got on the street from Hey, Cupcake! in Austin last night wasn't very good. The best thing I can actually say about it is it was free. The weather has cleared up and it's sunny in Austin, so that's exciting.

Twitter postings lead to Cupprimo Cupcake Wars appearance tonight!

From Austin Business Journal comes some cool news about Austin, Texas bakery Cupprimo that is a major reminder that social media is extremely important and is in no way just about reaching your local community, but about reaching the entire world:

“Cupcake Wars” usually chooses combatants from audition tapes, but producers approached Brown after following her tweets that constantly promote Cupprimo.

“I never dreamed [Twitter] would lead to such an incredible opportunity,” Brown said. “I know people in this business who have been trying to get on ‘Cupcake Wars’ for three years.”

And if you hadn't heard, Cupcake Wars is now casting for Season 5!
