Awesomeness alert: Easter cupcake kebabs with Peeps and Rice Krispie treats!

Firstly, let me say that this week I discovered the blog Warm Sugary Goodness, and will be posting more from them soon, and that made me happy, and now they've taken cupcake kebabs to a new level with their Easter cupcake kebabs which include mini cupcakes, Peeps and Rice Krispie treats! So much fun on a stick. Love these. Also, they seem relatively easy to make (I've never made cupcake kebabs, though I have eaten my fair share) and so adaptable to whatever you have handy and want to include.

Easter cupake cuteneess, or Peeps=fun!

Peeps. I love them! I don't tend to eat too many because one goes a long way but I like looking at them and think they make a perfect cupcake topper. See more Easter cupcakes like these at Food Network.

Cuteness alert: cake pop caterpillar!

I guess the only thing cuter than caterpillar cupcake cakes would be this caterpillar "cake" made of cake pops! It's by Just a Bite Cake Pops in Orange County, California, via Facebook, and you can find out more about them at http://www.justabitecakepops.com/.

Some of the cutest cupcakes you'll ever see: high heels, Twinkie heads, gumball machines, goldfish, Smurfs, brides, Matisse, Mondrian, Van Gogh and more

This cupcake spotlight could have been much, much longer, but I want to encourage you to check out Only in Bucks for a fun, brilliant, smile-inducing look at cupcake creativity in action. The press tends to focus on business and bakeries to the exclusion of the true heart of the cupcake revolution: cupcake lovers, at home, baking their hearts out. I love cupcake bakeries, of course, but the reason cupcakes are still as popular as ever (more, actually) is that they are something we can truly personalize in any and every way. Just look at how many high heel cupcakes have been created only in the past 2 months! Via @PinkeandBrowne on Twitter. This made my day!

From the post:
Last weekend I had the privilege to photograph Peddlers Village's first annual Cupcake Decorating Competition. Held at Giggleberry Fair, it was one of the special events planned to celebrate their 50th anniversary. I was the only blogger invited, and I must say... I felt pretty cool when I was allowed to enter the roped off section and preview the all the entries!

With over 1,000 cupcakes competing in various categories, I had to to quickly devise my own grading system. Anything you see here falls under one of my own categories: Pretty, Creative, or Simply Adorable. For those of you who didn't make it to the competition, here's a little "taste."

beautiful high heel cupcakes (I'd eat these, and I'd wear the real shoe version!)

Irish tea cupcakes with shamrocks in china teacups, with recipe link

Check out these adorable Irish tea cupcakes by blogger The Pastry Tip, who also has the recipe. They look so sweet and perfect for spring, and St. Patrick's Day! Via Flickr. From the post:
The decorations are made with a heart cutter and gumpaste. I assembled the three hearts with a stem to form the shamrocks. I made white flowers with an orange center to incorporate the colors of the flag.

8 push pop cupcakes by Push Up Cupcakes

Push Up Cupcakes in Saint Cloud, Florida, specializes in push pop cupcakes; their tagline is "cupcakes without the crumbs!" As you can see below, they also make cupcakes, and do custom orders only, including alcohol flavors. I love how fun the decorations are, like the flowers on top. And that you can switch up the colors and add candy.

All images via their Facebook page. Find out more on their website, and they can be reached at brande@pushupcupcakes.com or 321-228-3052.

as a chocolate and peanut butter fan, this one's my favorite looking! From this post:
I made devil’s food cake in the mini muffin tins. Then I whipped up a creation for the frosting of Jif Chunky Peanut Butter, Confectioners Sugar, Butter, Milk and Vanilla. I chose to use the crunchy for a little bit more texture but creamy would work just fine! Instead of using a piping bag and tip (because of the chunks) I put the frosting in a zip lock bag and cut the end off. It worked great!

To get the chopped up Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, I used the minis. Stick them in the freezer for 10-15 minutes so they are easier to chop.
